Considerations
ISO/IEC JTC 5 (Digital Product Passport) has already been established; ISO/AWI 25534-1 will be assigned to JTC 5 based on TMB Resolution 4/2026.
The CAG meeting of 24 June agreed to initiate a CIB to establish the internal liaison membership from TC 154 to JTC 5. TC 154 members are encouraged to nominate experts as liaison representative candidates. The liaison representatives will be officially appointed at the plenary meeting in Berlin, Germany.
JTC 5 sent an email on 8 July requesting the TC/WG to establish the liaison with JTC 5, and TC 154 has been identified as a relevant stakeholder in the attached final JTC 5 proposal. The liaison representative may refer to Clauses 1.15.3, 1.15.4, 1.15.6 and 1.17.1 of the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1.
This document (N 1698) is the result of voting on the Draft Resolution V-2026-06: 9 P-members approve, 10 P-members abstain, without disapproval; 3 P-members nominated the 3 liaison representative candidates to JTC 5. The ballot ran from 2026-07-09 to 2026-08-08.
