Adoption of an ISO/PWI TR project "Gap analysis of high-level and general data concepts"

This TR proposal was presented and discussed at the WG 7 meetings in April and May, and the WG 7 meeting of 7 May agreed to initiate a CIB to register the project at the PWI stage.

The scope of this TR proposal is: "this TR document aims to establish the relationship among the high-level and general data concepts or terms, and it is applicable to all kinds of data users in commerce, industry and administration, and it can also be referenced to other sector(s)."

When the ISO/NP 26087 ballot is approved, a new WG with a possible title "carbon data" will be established accordingly. As per the meeting discussion and minutes of 7 May, it is planned to assign this TR project to the new WG at that time.

This document (N 1692) is the result of voting on the Draft Resolution V-2026-04: 6 P-members approve, 13 P-members abstain, without disapproval; comments from KATS were received. The ballot ran from 2026-06-29 to 2026-07-29.
